I’ve had haircuts in a lot of places over the years, but this was easily the best barbershop experience I’ve ever had.

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this wasn’t just another shop. The atmosphere was calm, clean, and welcoming, with the kind of attention to detail that’s becoming rare. Nothing felt rushed. Every step was intentional.

The consultation alone was worth the visit. Instead of asking, “What number on the sides?” my barber took the time to understand my hair, head shape, beard, and the style that would actually suit me. It felt like working with a true craftsman rather than someone just trying to get through another appointment.

I went to the new shop in Belle River and it honestly blew me away. From the moment you walk in, you can tell it isn't your typical barbershop. What stood out to me the most was how clean, professional, and private everything felt - but somehow the comfort of a local hometown shop was still in the atmosphere.

The haircut itself was incredible. You can immediately feel that you're being handled by a professional that's spent decades mastering his craft. He studies your hair, asks for your styling pain points, and even guides you on how to recreate the style he's giving you yourself at home.

In-terms of price, this wasn't the cheapest cut, but it wasn't overpriced either. If you want luxury for a fair price, you'll love this place as much as I did.

Ali is an artist and true barber. From beginning to end, I felt nothing but utter professionalism and the want for you to leave with the best cut you can ask for. I highly recommend Beards & co and Ali.

Ali is, without a doubt, the most dedicated barber I've ever had. There isn't a single hair that goes untouched, and throughout the entire cut, he takes the time to explain what he's doing and why he's using specific techniques. His attention to detail is unlike anything I've seen from another barber.
What really sets him apart is how much the small details matter. Those minor adjustments make my hair look significantly better than it ever has, and the cut continues to look great for much longer than what you'd expect from a typical barber shop.
Beyond Ali himself, the shop is incredible. It gives off a classic "old money" atmosphere—from the music and décor to even the scent when you walk in. It feels like stepping into a Gatsby-era experience. Everything about the shop is intentional, refined, and welcoming.
I can honestly say I won't be going anywhere else until the day Ali retires. He has completely redefined what being a barber means to me. As someone who is extremely critical of my own hair, I walked in with high expectations and plenty of skepticism—and he exceeded every single one of them.

This place is unlike any barber experience that I’ve ever had. From the “old money” vibe of the shop right down to the professionalism and how personable Ali the owner was… (music was a nice touch too I love a good Frank Sinatra playlist) This is the true definition of A GENTLEMAN’S BARBERSHOP.

He takes the time to explain things to you And why he’s doing the things he’s doing. He REALLY cares about the clients that he brings into his shop.
